Quentin G. Woolard, retired as a Master Sergeant from the Air Force.

He started in The Pacific with the Navy during World War II.  He was a radioman.  He received the orders from McArthur concerning the US terms for the Japanese surrender, which he sent out to the Japanese Emperor, Parliament and the Navy.  He was honorably discharged after the war.  He served five war time years in it.

He took part in the advance amphiblous landing on the Marshall Islands.  At the time he was attached to the 3d Beach Bn.

He went back into the service through the Army Air Corps, and then served in the Air Force.
